Mr.B.G.Shenoy is a Post Graduate in Mechanical Engineering ; ISO Lead Auditor; OHSAS Auditor; APQO and GPEA Assessor, Malcolm Baldrige Foreign Examiner; Singapore Quality Award Assessor for SPRING, Government of Singapore; Past Assessor and Process Owner for Tata Steel Education Excellence Model, Past Assessor for Tata Quality Management Services, Past observer for NAAC, UGC, India. Presently responsible for implementing Education Excellence and Quality Initiatives across 20 Global Indian International School Campuses in 7 countries with head quarters at Singapore. Has presented several papers on Education Excellence at National and international forums and has lead his organization to win 18 national and international awards for education    excellence    in    a    span    of    4    years.


Dr. Srilal de Silva
President, SLAQ

The contributions made for quality enhancement in Sri Lanka as well as in the South East Asian region by Dr. de Silva extending over 40 years had resulted in changing the quality management practices in the region. These were brought up mainly through his association with Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) and Sri Lanka Association for Quality (SLAQ). These had resulted in business progress as acknowledged by many stake holders. Some of these changes include in new approaches in inspections services, certification and training leading to a new era of quality. Through many offices he held at the SLSI which he left as the Deputy Director General after 35 years of service, had greatly improved the services offered by SLSI in product quality improvement and safety of the community and resulted in having a major impact on quality in Sri Lanka. Many changes in the national level quality assurance programs
such as infrastructure development in quality, changes in approaches through the introduction of regulations and the mechanism for import and exports of products, upgrading fish handling services to meet international requirements specially EU and enhancing the professionalism of staff were his major contributions for the quality enhancement in the country. He was responsible for introducing ISO management systems and certification in Sri Lanka and also worked successfully to receive accreditation of the systems. These had strengthened the umbrella for quality management in Sri Lanka with improvements in many associated organizations thereby support the effective quality management in the country. As the Chairman of Quality international Certification Services (QICS) and Quality International Technical Services (QITS) he continued to offer these services after leaving SLSI. QICS is the only private certification body in on ISO systems in the country and certifications offered include quality, food safety, environment and energy, workplace safety, social responsibility etc. QICS focus on value added certification in association with Certification International (UK) which operates with accreditation from UKAS. His contribution for training includes accredited lead auditor training based on ISO standards which was conducted through Quality International Technical Services (QITS)in association with IQCS (Singapore). QICS and QITS play a leading role in promoting quality and training in Sri Lanka specially through SLAQ and their services are sought after by corporate clients. His leadership as the president extending over 10 years resulted in SLAQ gaining national and international recognition and brought in a new dimension to SLAQ activities and also changes in quality promotional programs. His training skills are used by many international agencies such as FAO, APO, WTO, FDA and also many other private agencies to promote quality related activities in the South East Asian Region. His services as a consultant and trainer are sought by the state and the private sector in quality related areas. Now he is actively involved in promoting quality training in the countries in the Asian region. He is currently involved in upgrading the national infrastructure for quality where SLAQ will play an important role together with other institutes and organizations implement the national quality policy and other policies in other areas to such as construction, education and healthcare. He is a registered international auditor for ISO systems and involved in auditing management systems in Sri Lanka and the South East Asian Region. His publications over 100 in many national and international journals were well recognized and now contracted by many publishers for his publications. His technical presentations including those made at APQO conferences, were considered of high standards Graduated from the University of Colombo in chemistry and obtained his M Phil and PhD from Loughborough University of Technology in UK in Biotechnology. His research is well accepted by the industry and now used in commercial production. He holds a Diploma in quality Management from Bouwcwntrum International Education in Rotterdam. He had received advance training in quality especially in fisheries in Japan, UK, USA, China, Denmark, Thailand and many other countries. He holds the fellowship in many professional bodies.



Mr. Paul Steel
President, Total Quality Inc.

Paul Steel is the Total Quality Inc (TQI) Founder, President and consultant from 1991 to the present and he is honored to be the longest serving member of the Baldrige Board of Examiners. Paul is a Master's degree in Business and Engineering. He is an Adjunct Professor of Quality, Productivity, and Process Management, Seattle Pacific University; Guest Lecturer of Graduate Business School of Economics, University of Chile, Santiago; Fiji National University; Graduate and Undergraduate Schools, Universitas Pelita Harapan, Jakarta; Trainer of 1,000+ seminars, workshops, assessment training sessions in 30+ countries and Approximately 2,000 national award assessors including Baldrige trained in several countries. he is also an Instructor of Quality Control, Statistical Quality Control – Henry Ford Community College and the longest Baldrige Board of Examiners member service and only member  to  serve as Senior Examiner in three decades, 7
years working with Quality Gurus: Dr. Edwards Deming and Dr. Armand Feigenbaum and others, Juror, assessor, trainer, founder, board member and/or adviser to most major national quality award programs Worked with/recognized by Office of the Prime Minister or President in 8 countries including US, Asia and Middle East and approximately 2,000 national award assessors (including Baldrige) trained in several countries. Pual is a Senior Member American Society for Quality (ASQ) since 1979, Global Performance Excellence Award (GPEA) Executive Committee Member, Asian Pacific Quality Organization (APQO) Lead Assessor and Lifetime Member, His Highness Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Dubai Business Award Juror, advisor, conference organizer, trainer, Asian Productivity Organization (APO Tokyo) Technical Expert since 2004, Accenture Best Practices Award Judge (previous), Singapore Quality and Innovation Awards – International Assessor since 2008, KPMG ISO Registrar Technical Advisory Committee Member (previous), Board Director for the Global Indian International School Centre for Educational Excellence and Washington State Quality Award (WSQA) Judge, Trainer, Board of Directors for 11 years.



Mr. Gregory H. Watson
Business Excellence Solutions, Ltd.

Mr. Watson is a quality consultant with over 40 years' experience in technical and managerial quality applications. He has served in a leadership capacity in the global quality organizations of Hewlett-Packard, Compaq Computer and Xerox prior to beginning a consulting career in 1994. His clients have included many of the world's leading organizations: Nokia Mobile Phones, Toshiba, ExxonMobil, RIM, ABB, and Monsanto are a few of the more well-known companies. Mr. Watson has been an active volunteer for quality-related groups and he is a past-Chairman and Fellow of the American Society for Quality, past-Chairman and Honorary Member of the International Academy for Quality and currently volunteers as International Senior Vice President for the Institute for Industrial Engineers where he is also a Fellow. Mr. Watson is one of the original Life Members of APQO and has been a frequent keynote speaker at our conferences. He is a prior   recipient   of   the   APQO  President's  Award. Other
awards he has received over 30 international awards, including the JUSE Deming Distinguished Service Award (Overseas); ASQ Distinguished Service, Crosby and Lancaster Medals; IAQ Kondo, Massing and Founders Medals; APQC Grayson Medal, Russian Organization for Quality's Ilyin Medal, PGQP Medal of Merit, and the Gold Medal of the Finnish Society for Quality. Mr. Watson is the author or editor of ten books and has published over 200 papers on topics related to quality.
